Remote Teaching

The Pandemic has been good for at least one thing: I learned that teaching remotely, via FaceTime or Zoom, could be very effective. I was amazed to find that students often learned technical aspects of playing, such as new bow strokes, more quickly remotely than with me in the room! And everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.

Remote teaching offers flexibility not possible with in-person learning. When I or my students were away from home, lessons continued as usual. If transportation was not available, or someone wasn't feeling one hundred percent, we were able to have lessons anyway. And now, even though masked studio lessons have resumed for vaccinated students, we sometimes find a need for the occasional remote lesson.

If you've happened upon this site, but don't live nearby, I can still be your teacher. My schedule is usually quite flexible, so time differences should present little problem. I'd be happy to see students from different areas, or different states, or different countries!
